Hailing from South Florida, THE JAMS aka James Laudicina has established himself as a seasoned audio engineer, DJ, and music producer who has been collecting records since before he was able to vote.

THE JAMS evolution as a musician traces back to his early days growing up in South Florida, where, in grade school, he first picked up a guitar to play in punk and ska bands. His musical horizons expanded when he discovered electronic music at rave parties, immersing himself in the energetic rhythms of break beats, drum & bass, and trance music.

This early passion laid the groundwork for his subsequent Audio Engineering and Jazz Theory studies. He has worked with many prominent music icons, one of which being pioneer turntablist Grand Mixer DXT, which, under his tutelage, he worked on the award winning 2005 Blue Note Records album John Coltrane & Thelonious Monk’s live at Carnegie Hall.

JAMS pulls from his rich pallet of influences when writing music and lets his machines take him where the Gods want to go. His 2023 album “Jams City” took listeners on an immersive sonic journey characterized by heavy drums, deep bass lines, and soothing melodies. More recently, he released a heavy-hitting single, “Crazy June, ohhh” on MCR Records from Miami, the summer anthem, “Flamingo Nights’ in his own imprint Jams City Records, and has a remix coming out on the debut EP from a new label from New York called “Full Time Fun”.
